The working mechanism of Storm Sniffer is simple yet effective. It creates a local VPN on your iOS device, thereby redirecting all traffic to a Local Man-in-The-Middle Server. As long as the VPN is active, Storm Sniffer can effortlessly capture all HTTP / HTTPS traffic over Wi-Fi or Cellular Data.

Concerned about sensitive data? Worry not. Storm Sniffer ensures that your data remains secure. The tool utilizes a self-signed root certificate which is generated on your device. This means that all captured HTTP / HTTPS requests and responses are stored locally on your device without involving any remote servers.
