Storm Sniffer is a powerful tool that allows you to capture and analyze HTTP / HTTPS requests and responses directly on your iOS device. With the ability to debug networking issues without the need for a computer, Storm Sniffer is a valuable asset for developers.
Some of the key features of Storm Sniffer include:
- Packet capture: Effortlessly capture HTTP / HTTPS traffic from iOS devices using local VPN. The captured data can be viewed in text form, and the tool even supports HTML, JS, and CSS formatting preview.
- Rewrite: Make real-time modifications to HTTP / HTTPS requests and responses. This includes URL redirection, custom headers, and even mocking local or remote files.
- Replay: Perform arbitrary HTTP requests with support for scheduling using cron.
- Scripts: Take advantage of local or remote JavaScript to enhance scalability.
The working mechanism of Storm Sniffer is simple yet effective. It creates a local VPN on your iOS device, thereby redirecting all traffic to a Local Man-in-The-Middle Server. As long as the VPN is active, Storm Sniffer can effortlessly capture all HTTP / HTTPS traffic over Wi-Fi or Cellular Data.
Concerned about sensitive data? Worry not. Storm Sniffer ensures that your data remains secure. The tool utilizes a self-signed root certificate which is generated on your device. This means that all captured HTTP / HTTPS requests and responses are stored locally on your device without involving any remote servers.
To unlock all advanced functions, you can opt for a subscription plan. Currently, three auto-renewable subscription options are available: Annual ($17.99), Quarterly ($3.99), and Monthly ($1.99).
